Yamaha Drive Belt Substitution
If you would like to try something other then the 8DN harder compound OEM Yamaha belt there is a belt by Dayco, the Ultimax 3 #138-4432-U3. But this is a softer belt that will allow less slippage but may require some slight clutch changes to make it work properly. With the softer compound and no clutch changes under warmer conditions the belt may not back shift properly and stick in the secondary. So do you homework before making a belt change like this.
