I was doing the spring maintenance in my 2015 viper LTX. Are the two connecting bars on the outside of the rear shock supposed to be floating.

It's funny that you posted that, I was just doing some maintenance on my sled and noticed the same looseness. I just took it apart and greased everything up and slapped it back together.

They are loose fitting. Normal.

Wish they had a nylon washer to stop the knocking noise.
Maybe a oring could go in there?
