Grass drags runs very well, haven't tried any sno-cross races with it, I bet I would pull a great holeshot in sno-cross, but would need to shed about 100 pounds of sled weight to stay competitive with that type of terrain with the lighter sleds. Some day I hope Yamaha engineers can develop a strong chassis designed for sno-cross that can dominate the circuit. 4-strokes took over in motocross, but certainly not in the sno-cross. If Yamaha ever decided to put their R&D folks together with sno-cross as a goal, it could happen IMO.

"Box in the spindles and subframe to start."
Where exactly ?

Yes the Yamaha is heavier than the last seld i ran a 09 Ski-doo RS 600 But i think its cooler to drive yamaha becus its a 4 stroke and almost no one drive Yamahas in snoX so.. its good for yamaha to get some sled out on the trak´s, you can drive fast on a Yamaha for shore =)

Apex2006 - Do you race grass with your sled?

Check out the grizztracks gusset. Too many options for spindle and control arm reinforcements to list, but all are DIY.

Make sure to order couple of spare center swingarms as well. Since they do not last long during inspired trail riding, there is no way you will make one full snocross season without swapping them couple of times.

problem ( raced last weekend)

Help!

did the first race last weekend.. the sled run very baad.. here is a video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhkDnuSu9J8

ran with Pc 3 and ullmer map Hauck full exhaust and KN filters.
Dont know whats wrong.. a damage wire?? the killswitch is okey.
Sometime the oil lamp did light but not every run

thanks // Nicklas

may found the problem, a ground wire to the PC had a litle damage so will fix that tomorrow and take the sled to the track this weekend, Hope thats the problem.

PM me if you'd like to buy a Yamaha race dept reinforced front arm for your skid. The stock front arm is weak and will break from aggressive riding, let alone sno-x.
