I want to throw a big ;)! to the Rockmeister. I was having some issues with the install of the heater. I pmed him and he sent me his number. I called and he walked me threw it and voila. They are working perfect and taking first ride with warm hands. :jump:

I can't wait to try out my new Yamaheater... again!

I installed mine last Thursday night and was frustrated for the rest of the holiday weekend. no matter what I tried I could not get the LED to light up red. I re-checked the wiring and kept switching from on\off (Rock's unit). The grips were no warmer than prior to the install. I thought I had a defective unit.

I sent Rock an email and did a search here on TY. He called me the next morning but by that time, by reading deeper into some of the many threads here, I had figured out that I was not understanding how his system was expected to work.

Throughout the weekend (very cold temps) I had not had his swtich turned on with the sleds grip setting off. I suspect that the next time I get up to the lake house (where I keep my sleds) and try the system it will work wonderfully.

Rock confirmed that to send full power to the grips...turn his switch on, toggle the grip control till there are no bars on the display (off), the LED will then go red indicating the grips are getting full power, proceed out on your ride and as the grips become too hot begin to toggle the sleds grip setting up (turns off LED and the full power output from Yamaheater returning the sleds system to it's original power levels), adjust to your liking, toggle back to full power as necessary. Boy I wish I had understood this last week!

While I think this will be one of my favorite mods I am disappointed that operating instructions were not included with the device.

Rock if you read this, you may want to do a better job communicating the operation of the system to your customers.

As always rock pulls through! Cant wait to install my yamaheater on my attak this weekend... already have it on the xtx, this thing is awesome!
