Anyone try the new Zumo 660 (designed for motocycle use)?? I'm thinking of changing from my Garmin 60cx - like the lidea of a much bigger screen and the touch screen.
Any thoughts/experiences??

It's a bit pricey, but a good unit.
A cheaper alternative is the Nuvi 550. I'm very happy with mine.

Thanks - I'll take a look at it. I didn't think there was a huge price difference ($150 or so).

I quickly checked GPSCity.ca and the Zumo goes for $800 Cdn versus the Nuvi for $300. Unless you've got a smokin deal somewhere?

You can get the 660 for $580-$620 at a couple of Toronto,ON based retailers. Saw the Nuvi at one store for $350. Looks like the Zumo is a bit more expensive relative to the Nuvi than I first thought. Will have to figure out if the 660 is worth almost double!!
zumo 550
Have a zumo 550 for the last 3 years and love it, yes the price is high but its made for the harsh environment, like motorcycles, vibration, moisture and such. Then added VVMapping software that has all the snowmobile trail maps for Michigan and all the ORV maps for Michigan loaded on an SD memory card. Run this unit wired direct to battery so its always powered up so it won't freeze the LCD screen, when I take long breaks, ie restaurants to refuel the body, I remove from mount and carry with me. Have several mounts as I have only one unit but several vehicles, use on ATV, Motorcycle, SUV and car. But it has been invaluable source of info with POI and gas and food locations. By all means its the best money I ever spent.
