Clutch is moving on the shaft , horizontally ,little play in it maybe a 1/4 inch

Another question, I took off the belt to take another look at the secondary , is it normal for the secondary to have a small amount of play on the shaft toward the engine and back its small... But I am new at working on clutches and want to make this is OK, as everything seems to have to be very...

Thank you for your reply. I think I am good then as I am dead smack even with top of secondary Sheave.

Anyone know what the spec from the top of the secondary should be for proper belt deflection , I just put on a New Clutch and a New Belt and want to make sure I am good to go. Thanks Charlie

Question related to this when I look at my secondary , how far down should belt be , should belt be even with the top of the secondary Sheave ?

Just an FYI, as an Update to this post, for some reason Yamaha discontinued: SMA-COVER-87-10 I know this because I just tried to order a new one, mine from 2015 LTX DX , has seen better days , thanks to the Sun in the SouthWest US.

Greetings! What is the best check to determine of Stator is gone? I put in new battery this year , and Got one Ride out of it , and then it would not turn over ... I used Jumper , got it started ran for a while, it cut out , then would not turn over ... Sorry never dealt with this before...
