    Venom Clutching

So, I need to adjust belt deflection and after looking at the CVTech secondary, I'm miffed at how Yamaha didn't include the sheave separator tool. Would anyone know the bolt thread? Then, once the belt is off, how do I adjust deflection? The CVTech primary looks pretty straightforward. Where's...

    Bumper for venom

I just mounted a Cat bumper on mine. Had to go get four M6x20 body bolts because the Venom has no bumper to start. I paid about $220 for the black ProClimb bumper, part #8639-199. It bolts up nicely and has good strength.

    2020 Release

Awesome! I think it is legit...KYB is a Yamaha owned company and as far as I can tell not readily available for the Pro-Climb/ALPHA. I am hoping and dreaming this is the 2020 Mountain Max, 880 HPDI. I'll snowcheck my first sled if so..

    Weighed my sled...

After twenty plus years of riding only Yamaha and thousands of dollars spent on MODs for my Nytro XTX, I bailed for a new Summit. I will always have a special spot in my heart for Yamaha, but as I get older the extra weight is hard to battle. This past season was the most fun riding I've had...

    Do you carry Insurance?

I know no one who doesn't have it. I don't know how anyone could feel comfortable riding on the trails without insurance. One accident and you may lose all you own without it or find your future paychecks going to pay for it. Not good either way in my opinion.

Any one tow with a 2.7L EcoBoost F150?

The 2.7 is rated for around 7000lbs towing so pulling and 23' inline aluminum trailer that would weigh about 2000lbs with another 1500lbs in sleds puts it at about half capacity. I've seen YouTube videos of it towing 5000lb plus vehicles in the mountains of California with no issues. I would not...

Ski guides for 7' wide trailer

Check out Caliber low Pro grip guides. They have traction grips built in the ski guides. Also, check out their online configurator to show you the layout for your trailer.

    Roll Over Valves

Absolutely, for the tether alone! For rollover valve, all Yamaha four strokes will dump oil into the air box if tipped on the PTO side or rolled. The ROV helps minimize the risk and in my 10+ years with a four stroke and quite a few intentional and unintentional rolls, I never lost a drop.

    MPI Supercharger

Nytrosnox, I sold my '13 XTX sled this past winter, but my suggestion would be to try the installation yourself. I enjoyed installing mine a couple years ago. The MPI directions are pretty good and with an above average mechanical aptitude, you'll be successful. Most difficult part was mounting...

Ideas for Yamaha to increase Sidewinder sales?

I like the idea. The auto manufacturers do this as certified pre-owned. If you current Apex still has warranty and if it passes the dealer inspection, it could then be sold to a new customer as a certified pre-owned, a factory warranty to cover normal wear and tear issues.

Thundercat looks BA! I didn't see Yamaha wrote in any web marketing either.

    Michigan Dealer Recommendations

Pats Yamaha in Greenland if you want fair and honest along with expert knowledge. There's a reason Kip was among the select few dealers in the preview of the new Sidewinder, he is also an enthusiast.

    JRE spindles or Mountaintech?

Well, for what it is worth I don't have hands on experience with either, but I'd go with the arms. I had Skinz Concept arms along with Fox EVOL R shocks. The difference was unreal and for the better. I actually had the 39" wide kit and it was night and day off trail and handled every bit as good...

    RPM and boost are low

Glad you found the issue and now you can get out and ride. I still think you should buy my Nytro for boondocking days, use yours for trails and lake ripping!

    RPM and boost are low

If true Nytrozula, you definitely have clutch issues. You should of had to add weight with more boost not reduce it. I guess you could eliminate the SC from the equation by pulling the SC belt off and unplugging the GEMs, might not breathe right though. See if you pull your RPM then in this...

    RPM and boost are low

Nytro- Dude, is the clutch kit new? The reason I say the clutch is your problem is because you referenced running last year in your original post. So, I believe that your nytro has the exact same clutching setup as last year before you torched the blower and it ran just fine then. If so, the...

    RPM and boost are low

Nytrozula- Is the clutching the same or was that new this year? If so, I will stick to my first statement above that you must have something wrong with your clutches (broken/worn out parts), if it all else is the same from when it last ran perfectly. Pulling out weight is not the fix. (And the...

    New 2017 Yamaha Sleds...

I'm going to be on a two stroke next year, but I doubt it'll be a Yamaha. Factory turbo sounds nice, wonder if MPI will get cut out? They've done a great job for us heavy 4 stroke riders and hope they are a part of any factory work.
