My RX1 engages just past 4K RPM. Is this normal?

Not normal unless someone reworked the clutch. I think it's 3600 but +or- 200 so 3400-3800. Try cleaning it, could just be gunked up.

The Spec is 3600 + 200 RPM, as previously stated.
If the spring is going bad, it will engage sooner. If the clutch is getting dirty it will engage later. If you have changed the spring to some odd variant, then all bets are off The stock spring should be a Yellow/Silver/Yellow color code.
The Mountain Spring spring is an Orange/Silver/Orange color code. It engages at 4200 + 200

ulmers kits engage at that rpm. might have one in there.

A good way to tell if you have Allen's kit is to look at the Secondary's helix. It has "Ulmer" engraved in it right on the face. If you have the SuperTips in the Primary, then you got his Stage II. The Primary's Spring by itself does not do much good.
