what the point is of that little wire thingy that is in the end of the crank bolt on the mag side of my apex. Looks like the 06-10 sleds have it and the 11+ do not. Working on a supercharger install and if it serves no purpose I'll skip messing with it.

I asked a Yamaha mechanic the same question and he told me it is an oil slinger that helps cool the stator?
Never been in the stator before so I can't tell you for sure.
