Had a thread going in the general section, and since I have the tools in stock now I figured I'd start a thread here for those that don't browse that section.

Tool is an alternative to replacing the cables that always tear. Works on all Apex sleds with the dial adjuster on the side of the tunnel.

To use the tool the front shock eyelet must be rotated 180 degrees so the cable port faces down. Once rotated it allows for easy use of the tool to adjust shock. A small rubber cap is included with the tool to protect the port after adjustments are made.

Also included with the key is a laser cut block of plate which blocks off the hole once you remove the RA adjuster from the tunnel. It is mounted using the (3) RA adjuster mount bolts. and (3) langed lock nuts are included in the kit

Sell price for the kit is $35

Two expensive for what it is, you can change the cable for that. I have changed my cable 3 times in 10 years and 11500 miles.

If same money why replace it with something that will tear again in future?

I agree seems like alott of money for what apears to be just a key on a key chain. I dont have ra adjuster on mine so I guess I should just butt out but that was my first impression. now if it came with the block out for the empty hole at that price I would think it was prolly an okay price.

I struggle pricing my products when there is nothing like it on the market.

Maybe I will end up offering a block off plate with the adjuster. Time will tell.

I appreciate the feedback and take no offense to it. If I didn't want feedback I'd never be on this site.

;)Come up they a cable that won't break and I would pay 70 for that. It's all about convince me I would change it very year if I had to to keep that convince and I don't want to be rude just giving my 2 cents.

I do have to agree that a key on a keychain is a little pricey. Having said that we do have to remember the costs of tooling, developing the tool, out sourcing (if needed) operating costs, etc.......
Then the hard part, guessing on how many you can sell at a reasonable profit.
I have found that Travis has always had very reasonable pricing and excellent customer service.
I'm sure he has priced this tool according to his costs of making them and to ensure that he can continue to make and sell this product and come up with more products that can fix some of Yamaha's short comings.
Bottom line is he does need to see a profit as it is a business not a buddy next door selling you parts in exchange for beer. :moon:

A nice block off plate that uses the factory mounts and bolts together with the key would be an excellent package imo. ;)!

I think this is a great idea to bad for me I replaced my in Feb when I broke my driveshaft.

When I still had the OE suspension on my sled, after being fed up with the constant adjusting of the Float Mega via the hand pump, I installed the Std. shock/spring and made my own adjuster. This key will be a valuable tool to anyone that does not already have the hole and hardware in place for the tunnel adjust...

Had a block off plate burned out and did a fit up this week. The plate will match up to existing holes and come with 3 flanged lock nuts to be used with the existing bolts

Block off plates are now in stock. The plate will mount on inside of tunnel using the 3 ra adjuster mounting bolts. The plate comes with flanged lock nuts. We are including the plate and nuts with the adjuster tool as a kit. We will also sell the block off separate.
