New Apex Belt Drive Systems

By nature, Belt driven CVT's are ~88% efficient. Manual car transmissions are up in the 97% efficiency range. It is all of the other losses snowmobiles face throughout the rest of the drive train that brings it down to about 55% efficient. Slide rails are one of the most inefficient parts to the drive train along with the tight bends on the track. There are many factors that lead to the total loss of efficiency and that is why we need to improve the drive train.

Bruce,
Nice to see some development on the belt drive. Sure would be nice to drop the weight and loose some rotating mass.
If you need a test sled I would be happy to put one on my Rx. I could give it a beating for the off trail crowd :)
