Buddy's sled, his second Nytro.
This one has blowen 4 belts in prob 1000 miles. 2 this weekend within 200 miles. He thinks it's his deflection plate bouncing up and causing explosion.
Any experience with this?

That's a very interesting theory. I blew my belt (only 400 miles on it) yesterday and noticed the deflection plate seemed a bit loose.

Might want to consider a SMB replacement? It's full length under the clutches for approx. $80.00

X2. It has saved my butt. But I still broke the SB one with a blown belt. Welded it up and all's good.canoehead said:Might want to consider a SMB replacement? It's full length under the clutches for approx. $80.00

ditch the stock piece of junk if it is already bent and buy a schmidt bros one! I just put one on mine and it is WAY better than the stock one, also seems to have helped with the wet left foot.

I get thousands of miles out of a belt lately, seems like once the clutching was right I never really change them, ( unless I'm playing on the lake)
