I have expanded the oil pump re-prime feature used in our Viper Roll Over Valve kits to the Nytro/Phazer premium ROV kits!
Sometimes if the oil pump is allowed to suck in air during a roll over event it may loose prime. When this happens the sled may start and run for a few seconds, then shut down due to no oil pressure. In the past to re-prime the oil pump, the options were to tip the sled and let it sit for a extended period of time. Or pull the right hand side cover and block/restrict the breather line to allow pressure to build in the oil tank.
With the Quick Prime system, you simply push and hold the Quick Prime switch down while starting the sled. The ROVCM commands the ROV shut off valve to close which allows the oil tank to build pressure. The air pressure then forces oil to the oil pump for re-priming.
The re-priming process usually only takes a couple of seconds and literally is as easy as pushing/holding a button!
