PVC duct to direct Cold Air to Turbo

has anyone tried using an insulated flexible duct from the front of the sled inside and through to the air intake of the turbo. I noticed the air intake temperature was very high today while running rail lines at -8c. Obviously quite warm under the hood.
 
I have the "out of the hood" intake, I saw 2 - 5*f intake temps at slower (25-40mph, novice rider with me) speeds with ambient air temps at 0 - 4*f. Easiest would be to get it out from under the hood and over the clutches.
 
I believe there's a kit you can buy that will direct your intake to the nose of the machine, keeping your "sleeper" look. I ran my intake under hood for about 1500 km before routing it outside of the machine. Noticed a huge difference in intake temps and power!!
 
I've got the MPI kit so I know it's a bit of a different setup than yours but because my aluminum tube crosses right over my engine I wrapped it in fiberglass header wrap. My intake temps are right in the midrange regardless of outdoor temp.

I personally do not have the intake directed to the nose, I did see it posted somewhere on here tho and believe they were selling a kit, possibly ulmer? I ran intake under hood from the dealer it sat just above the clutches on the guard. After comparing intake temps and performance with one of my buddies with the same setup but intake out the hood, we found he was running way lower temps and seemed to make more power... I put my intake out the hood and noticed some big improvements!
 
I had my intake for my Hurricane 190 on the nose first of this season and now moved it to just beside the rad in the hood area. I drop intake temps about 20deg . Outside air -12C intake temps were about 15C where in the nose they were 35C and higher if I went slow
 
Got a picture of your set up? My intake piece is out right now. I am going to try to make something tomorrow and need some ideas.
 
I thought I took a picture but can't find it on my phone! I can take one in the morning ,sled is at my shop. I basically have it sitting right beside the back right side of the rad.

I do believe this is mr sleds. I'm running the exact same thing. Seems to work well.

I had mine there first but runs much cooler up beside the rad on my sled!
 
The only thing I might question with it under the rad is that you're still getting unwanted heat from the rad as it cools. The amount of heat is huge! I have my fan on a switch reversed and when I stop and turn it on, it'll warm your hands up through your gloves in less than a minute. Coolant temps in the 170-190*. That's the only reason I put mine out of the hood and away from any undesired heat.
