If you just put black electrical tape over it, you’ll never hear it and you can’t see it either. This is of course assuming you’re just annoyed with the shrill sound!

If your annoyed of the sound you can just unplug it but that outside ring should unscrew. Sometimes they get tight but it should come off.

Years ago a buddy unplugged his beeper because it annoyed him. Then latter on in the season he backed in to my sled because he forgot that is was in reverse...... No to minimal damage, but I leave mine connected for that very reason!
