Congratulations on your new purchase. I bought my Nytro RTX SE brand new back in 2009, and I still enjoy riding it today. Changing out your engine coolant would be helpful. Back in 2010 and during days above 35 degrees, my engine sometimes had a light come on indicating the engine was...
Check out www.tracksusa.com I am not exactly sure what needs to be done to the rear suspension when you extend a Nytro from 121" to 137". I can only comment on a 121" to 128".
I believe the 4" rail extension gives added stability to the over-all handling of the sled and reduces (however slightly) the twitchiness. I wanted to keep the integrity of my original RTX SE suspension, and decided just to slightly extend my track. I did not change anything in the rear...
Yes, I took mine to Grizztracks who extended my 2009 Nytro RTX SE. I went with Tracks USA 128 x 15 x 1.25 Ripsaw II (Item #9215H) with Yamaha 4" Rail Extension for 2010 121" Sleds. Put in Woody's Gold Digger 1.325" 60 degree with backers, COMB Template, and Track Drill back in 2014. I did NOT...
Grizztracks installed my 128 Rail Extension with new track. I decided NOT to use a skid relocate kit. I rode a Nytro that had the skid relocate kit installed and I did NOT like how the new ride felt. I have absolutely NO regrets not using a skid relocate kit.
You may want to check out Schmidt Brothers Motorsports for your clutch upgrades. They offer clutch kits, clutch rebuilding, primary overdrive machining, tuning kits, and quiet shim kits.
Thank you for your observation. I do my best to take good care of my snowmobile. Since I have to trailer my snowmobile after each ride, I take it to the car wash and use a hand held hose and clean my suspension after every single ride. This immediately cleans off all of the ice and any dirt...
Yes, Chris provides written directions on how to install his products. I was able to call and speak with him directly on any additional installation questions that I had.
I've been using the Schmidt Brothers Motorsports "Hyfax Saver Front Wheels" on my FX Nytro RTX SE for nearly 4 years or so without any issues. You can see from my pictured skid that since I installed Ohlins front and rear shocks, I needed to add additional wheels. These wheels have helped reduce...
Every year, I trailer my snowmobile hundreds of miles to go snowmobiling even for just a few days during the winter. Snowmobiling is just too much fun to give up. My '09 Nytro RTX SE is in my will which means that I will never sell it! I do more hunting and fishing now which fills in the joy of...
mcamzr: You ask a fair question. To begin, I have never spoken with or received sales literature from any skid relocation employee or vendor. My interpretation of skid relocate kits is based on an actual ride that I took on a 2008 FX Nytro RTX that had a skid relocate kit installed. I bought my...
