Also have a gash in the side of one ski. Should I run the gash on the inside or outside? Thx

Hey Daranello,
Sorry for the delayed response.
In order to get the proper fit to your Apex all you need to buy are new spindle rubber spacers for the Apex ($21.95/pair)
As far as the gash if it is minor it really shouldn't have an affect on performance inside or out. One thing that I have seen with some customers is that when crossing bridges or along road sides for a distance they try to run one ski up on the bank of snow for their hyfax... however that forces the outside edge of the other ski down against the pavement and wears out that edge quickly (which is the case with many ski designs) so try to keep the sled level in those situations. Better to have a little wear on the hyfax than wear out a ski edge.

Can I just run a test with apex stock rubbers or cut down the curves nytro bumpers...after shipping and all the cross boarder BS its going to be $100 and i'm not sure yet if I'll like the skies on the apex...if I do like I would likely pick up a new set of skies and sell the nytro ones

For a test, do whatever you have to do to get the rubber to work. They're pretty much awesome on any sled ;-)

Ok I ordered the bumpers, but the bumper profile is no wear near stock is this correct for a 2011 Apex....(closest to the camera is stock and furthest is yours)
Also you see that my ski point down! are they not suppose to be tipped up?? if you notice the skies are lever with the ground (or better yet same angle as my runningboards) but the sled is nose high on the sled lift, you can see the rear of the track on the ground.
Your input is appreciated, thanks guys

Darren, let me look into this with Nick. Stay tuned for an answer... if you want, use the stock rubber for now with a spacer under it until I can figure out what is going on. I just want to let you know that I'm looking into it as of now!

If you look at the rust on the stock rubber you can see where the pressure is added to the stock spindle...your rubber is much taller are the rear, but you have no rubber where the rust is on the stock setup?? does that make sense??
I did a 200 mile test yesterday and they corner on rails but shes dating bad even with EPS, something that was not present when the same skis were on my FX Nytro XTX...
