I think it's a lock code you can set.
Ours is all 0's. The AC's when the unit is registered with Cat under new owners name a code has to be put in to get full performance and allow the sled to put miles on. It prevents a dealer from using the machine and selling it as new.

Really? What a BS world we live in!!! Instead of entering a code to prevent theft, you eneter a code, so the dealer you trust to sell your products, doesn't defraud you!!! Holy #*$&@ this is terrible
