Gear swap on LE model

Cannon, why don't you think you will get any consistency out of it

Because I am not consistent now. Conditions play a huge factor in speed on the Viper. Higher gearing would just put more load on motor.

What speeds are the 1.7in guys seeing compared to 1.25 and is that the only difference other than track.

Mine befor 500 could only see 85. Perfect conditions they are about the same so to me gears and track do not make much difference.like someone said something holding these things back. Nytro killed me on top speed (he was stock).he saw 102 ish when I could hit 90 ish with clutching and exhaust with 8dn belt.

Does the 1.7 in (blue and white LE) have lower gear than the 1.25 track. And why doesn't skidoos 4 stroke have this issue what do they do that Yamaha doesn't.

Different chassis. Cat guys have had the same inconsistent speed issues as yamaha guys are having.

I wounder what gearing a XTX LE whit PC 2,25" track have, according to the spec it´s 21/41 which is the same that xtx whit 1,6" Cobra track. If this if corect i think is to high gearing for the matchine.
AC XF 7000 HC have 21/49 gearing whitch is the same that a freinds XF800 HC have, and have 25-30 hp more.

Would it not be better if the XTX LE have the same gearing that XF 7000 and XF 800? it´s a crossover sleed and i have notic that rpm droping in powder.

Yes. Even with mods it is a 90-95mph sled on anything short of hardpack trail. 100-105 on hardpack.
X2 with my mpi sled. Rocket ship to that but it is it. I have two friends with brand new 800's, they have more legs then me.

2014 viper, mpi
2009 Phazer 144"

One of these days I am going to do some big time suspension mods and make some runs. Sitting back on mine gets the rear to squat at speed and the increase in speed is immediate. My old SRX it was Aerodynamic resistance. Tucking in and down was where gain was. This chassis it is way more suspension. Remember the 2012 cats and how I liked the suspension geometry better? Well those also had far less complaints about speed and WAY more sag. Now that the shocks work on mine I hope to improve the stance and get it low in rear without losing my big bump capablility. Think Baja trucks. They are not high in air and still suck up huge hits and can hit speeds of 130mph or more. ZPS is the way to go.

My sled has about 3" total sag with me on it. There is a solid inch of standing sag (does not come up against scissor stop) and about 2" when I sit on it. I'd really like that to be 3" sit in sag. I hope to get some more data regarding torsion springs used across the various miles versus what is spec'd.

I might have missed the post, but I have a 15 ltx le and COTC and 8 dn. What gearing do i have and what gearing is showing the best results. I only have 370 miles on right now. Thanks for the help in advance.

Must also consider drivers tooth count and track pitch in gearing final.

If you have a 21/49 gear setup I will trade you a chain and 41 gear for your chain and 49 gear as long as they are low mile. Can send mine first so you are not without a sled waiting.
