  • Thanks for your response, on the Hyfax Saver kit.
I too now have a Sidewinder , LTX LE , and just replaced my sliders after 4,000 miles.
The sliders wear more in 2 spots , just after the bend, and about a foot from the end .
Did you do anything to this skid as you did on the Apex ?

Well the sled is new to me this spring, so no haven't done anything yet, actually have not driven one yet, just drank the koolaid so far it tastes good lol. It was a dealer demo with 1,000 miles on it. I will get a set of dupont slides for it to replace down the road, although I have heard the hyfax stands up well on this skid. Cheers
Thank you very much for the help, I do have a question if you have a second. Looking at the speedometer cluster, I see two philips screws on either side of the speedo, then below I see two allen screws spread out on either side. Which two do I have to remove to take off the cluster. Also, does the windshield have to come off too,or does that stay on and come off with the entire speedo cluster?

    Thanks!

The whole pod including windshield/dash assembly is a unit. If you look on either side of the large black metal bracket it is mounted on, you will see two hex head 6mm bolts that hold it to the bracket. Take those out, and slide the whole unit towards the handlebars, it come off easily.

Sorry for the tardy response Mike, I assume you want to remove the digital cluster installed inside the pod?, then yes, the two phillps head screws hold it in place from the inside/back of the pod. The windshield stays with the headlight/dash pod, no need to remove it. I suspect you have figured this all out by now. Cheers, Richard.
