after putting 10.000 miles on my srx I can say that my favorite feature of the sled is the IQ suspension and wouldn't consider buying another Yamaha with out it.
there was a time when if you showed up to a drag race and had a roloflex you broke a lot of hearts. Back then the combination of Yamaha motor and aluminum chassis was hard to beat.
If your sled shifts into reverse and back don't worry. It's my guess that arctic cat hasn't the tightest manufacturing tolerances and the change was made to accommodate bigger shafts.
The new gear has a little looser tolerance and has the oil holes drilled out. Dave (DMC) is about the best aftermarket company I have dealt with. Very professional.
I to have owned many Yamaha sleds over the years and pretty much found them to be set it and forget it, however my 2020 srx needs to be checked out every time I ride it. Every time I ride it I love it , every time I work on it I hate it. Damned cat dna. I can't imagine some one coming away from...
As I was changing my oil filter on my srx I could see the chain tension bolt pretty clearly. I think you would have to have doll hands but I think it's possible to access it from there.
