Fuel pump not coming on, I put a hair dryer on it for about 10 minutes and the pump kicked in. I was thinking the same thing, maybe warn. Any way seems like there’s no “freezer safe” fix so probably just pop in a new one, as long as it’s a normally open relay. Tks
Oh, and mine is a Viper
This is exactly the reason I created this post, I saw the red relay and thought that won’t fit my current fuse box. So in the end, nobody makes a 4 pin non freeze NO relay in your opinion? I guess I’m stuck with keeping one indoors when it’s colder.
On the same note, when searching on google, it seems Yamaha are the most popular for relays freezing. Anyone know why? Don’t think Yamaha makes their relays. So why mostly Yamaha, I’m sure other sleds use pump relays.
Seems it’s a 4 pin NO relay.
Ok gotcha. I’m also really trying hard to stay away from Snowtrackers. I’ve since taken pressure off my skis and centre shock. Made a big difference but still darting when lots of ski ruts. Have yet to check 1/4 inch toe out, probably this week.
Will contemplate single keel skis too ♂️. Tks
Been a few times now the fuel pump won't run when it's -15c or colder, need to remove and warm up. Trying to find the correct "no freeze relay" part number to replace but seems hard to pinpoint which one I need. In Canada would be my preferred choice. TIA
Not sure I quite understand what you're trying to say, sorry. Are you saying there's nothing that can be done with those tuner skis to alleviate the darting? Or you changed your setup and you're very pleased?
In fact what looked like the shocks were maxed out, they were not at all. I loosened them perhaps three turns until the shock was loose, so just snugged them to tighten the shock so it wouldn't rattle.
Recently bought a 2016 RST90 Venture, 144' track with 1500 Kms (930 miles). Severe darting by my experience. Front ski shocks are maxed out when I bought it. Wondering what any of you have done to make this sled more enjoyable. Apparently snow trackers for the double keel skis are not sold...
I've had numerous sleds throughout the years and I've never had one that didn't have a quick disconnect drive belt cover (2015 SR Viper RTX-DX). Am I missing something or did the engineers totally miss the boat? Have any of you modified the cover so it's easier to remove? TIA.
Yeah I don’t like the idea using just the clip. I welded a medium size wing nut to a bolt because I lost the original bolt and they wanted like $30 I think?? It’s more removing the battery bolt that burns me. Although I hope it doesn’t happen too often.
