So i was out riding then loaded onto trailer . no room to put trailer into garage so pushed sled into garage,
the next day started sled to load back onto trailer (no issues yet at this point) only warmed it up to 116 f on guage tho..
Then trailered out 2.5 hours to destination. at -18C.
Parked...
U could try soaking with penetrating oil for a while then use grips to grab spacer and try to twist backandforth to try and get moving...
or place one hammer against one sede of spacer and tap other side with anouther hammer.to see if will lossen...

Im enjoying my 15 viper stx-dx still...nothing out there id rather have...added all accessorys I wanted and does pretty much all I need...

So my son has turned 12 and now has his first sled and licence so I have been takeing him riding.
He is not a very fast rider and just learning so many hours at 20-30 mph for the most part...very few spots over that...
after a few days of this the Viper ran poor, hunting idle and poor...
Yes my wife can go about 100 miles before light comes on.....wouldn't plan to go over 100 without extra fuel
but normal trail rideing can do...lots of loose snow or if epically hard riding less.
i found part numbers for black foot rests
you may want to contact dealer to see if they can get other colors etc.
not sure if avail as a pair or if they include screws and template though would make that assumtion
1707-926 right side foot rest
1707-927 left side foot rest
hope that is helpful
You would b able to order the foot rests from arctic cat. Fit perfectly and work well
Lot less hillbilly than screwing 2x4 s to your sled. If you want I can see if I have the part number later.
My Stx dx I have set up
Front shocks 27 threads showing
Front skid shock 13-14
Rear air shock 150 psi
This is rideing 2 up with my boy.
Apox combined weight with gear 290 lbs
Rocks pretty good like this
To go one up I would let some pressure off the rear air shock (135) otherwise would ride...
Yup feel your pain on these sleds. Got one for wife (2012 gt) seems like a lot of maintenance required that should not b. Needs parts every year despite the low miles she put on easy miles too. Just did the oil lite bushings this fall but had no issues with the kit used emery cloth to clean up...
It would b awesome if it was well under 400 lbs fully fueled ready to ride. Was 3/4 size with real suspension , had large enough fuel tank to go for a real ride and 40 hp or more with some kind of optional/adjustable performance or speed limiter. Could b a real winner for Yamaha and cat...
What happened to mine was the wires broke very near the heater where it runs thru the seat foam. The wires are shiethed with a plastic which is way too hard and brittle in the cold (thanks so much arctic cat I’ll just use my snowmobile in the heat of July). So the sheith breaks where it flexes...

Rumours of a real kids sled for 2020 that might work for a new rider 12-16 years old and a better looking option
(mabie) than putting a kid on an ancient or too big of a sled...if real and shared by yamaha and arctic cat...
