Sold my 08 MTX 153" (180 MCX, Timbersled skid) and bought 12 Pro RMK 155" for this season. The Pro is a great light sled, but short on power and I really missed my Nytro. I will be on a Nytro 180+ MCX again next year.
Wish I would have read this thread before I just bought my 7T/3P Wahl drivers......they do not line up properly. Not impressed at all........it's like the pitch is slightly over 3............wish I would have bought avids.
I was worried somewhat about this too......but no issues so far. Had my key pulled out though plowin' through some willows.......landed on the seat thank god!
Very happy with my baby-boost......MCX180. Great install, hardest part was finding a good welder.....1,000 trouble free km's.......no wrenching just riding.
Just my 2 cents, but I would stiffen up the shocks (possibly all the way or floats), put the ski's on the widest setting......and make sure the ski's are aligned. I did this and added Slydogs and the sled handles night and day difference.........
The 180 kit is easily upgraded too........for approx 3k canadian installed dealers will upgrade you to the 240 kit. One of our guys is doing it already..............
With the amount of ice that builds up between the subframe and the skidplate how does the aluminum hold up? I know after a big powder day the plastic plates have about a half inch or so of ice build up and they flex............any issues with this skidplate being more ridgid? Something has to give?
I bought my TS from my local yammy dealer, any of them can buy from TS. Just got to find one that orders some stock and the pricing will be better. Phone around your area!
I bought a pair.....they are part #8GK-23579-01 and they are really loose. So I order #31 and that will solve my problem? Or do I need different ball joints for my 2008 MTX???
