Keep the chain; it's now "broken in" unless there's obvious wear or noticable slop or play in the linkages. Go with 22t and you'll have much more available adjustment going forward, and it will need tensioning less often (once a year minimum check tho.)

Since you are changing the drivers, I might suggest a new driveshaft with the new drivers.... It's likely that the previous owner has a spun driveshaft and starting fresh (with some form of driveshaft saver like BOP driveshaft saver) is a wise investment. It's what I did when changing drivers...
I haven't heard anything new. I don't know that any new development is likely with the latest Cat/Textron announcements of going on hold. I still wish it would happen.
A) replace battery. Could be weak but seem good.
B) replace starter. Aftermarket starters are known to work better than what was in there originally. I just replaced mine in my 2017 NA, and it starts much better. Less than $80 from DB Electric, relatively easy to install through oil filter...
