Yes go with the aftermarket recommendation , 3 1 factory recommendation never worked all that great . If you do run the factory spring try 33 or higher .

It's the mountain sled Yamaha and Arctic cat should have built just did my king cat conversion if my Sidewinder had a drop and roll I'd do the same on it pretty incredible and right now the conversion price can't beat it you have a ride one it's the last one you'll buy

Who's running alpha one conversion on Sidewinder or king cat ?

Sorry but common sense will tell you that taking up space in the splines with grease only lasts for a little while , I have both Sidewinder and King Cat one is quite the other ( Sidewinder ) is not , kept both well maintained drive clutches , you do the math , think Hurricane is the only fix .

Letting it warm up ,this was the Sidewinder , the Cat had what you discribed leak wise and room to tighten , didn't solve it .

It's not going to stop , have a Sidewinder and now a King Cat also , never had the Wonder leak until I started not letting in on

I would bet Doo style scratchers left down you get as many miles and just as good performance out of stock slides , just saying , run my MTX (3 inch paddles ) with scratchers down as often as I can remember to and only replaced one set in 8000 miles .

At elevation 8k plus if you have a boost gauge you will see close to 15 psi virus 10 @SL, and Do ino came up with maintaining HP at elevation LOL, enjoy .

Lack of load on motor= less boost.

So what you see temp wise with gauge , bad setup versus good setup ?

I understand the stub and splines make up most of the rattling but Apex clutch in is noticable quite compared to SW which was embarrassing on a warm day lol . And the fact that it may hold a belt now .

Changed to Apex primary this year , so far with the weights/Spring/911 cover transferred from SW primary , Apex 14.5 rollers and new side washers on cam arms and rollers this clutch is far quieter than the SW . Running 8DN , only have road rides in last 2 days , looks great so far . 270 SS high...
