I doubt you will need to replace the pipes. The clamps can stretch and can also wear into the pipes a little. You need to grind a little off the collar to allow the clamps to properly fit and tighten around the pipes. Clean the bolts and clamp threads real good before re-assembly. Also, add...

Keep in mind not all the tach's are properly calibrated from the factory. Allen form Ulmer told me that he has seen some up to a couple hundred RPM's off. I have the Drag-n-fly’s and my sled runs real strong up at 11000 RPM’s.
After 2 years with the Pilots I went back to the Stockers and made a set of the Dartless plates. I am now perfectly happy with the way my sled handles. I only wish my sled handled this good from day one.

I totally agree. Last weekend my buddy on an MXZ 800, hit a small bump between 80 & 90 mph that launched his sled and its now totaled leaving him with a broken collar bone. He always commented that my sled is much more stable than his at higher speeds.
Dan, check out my link to the Yamacharger. It is supposed to add about 20 HP for about $2200 and it has been Dynoed to back the claims.
