Catalyst is really tight in the clutch area. Belt removal is not easy. Once you do it a few times its okay but its TIGHT in that area on the catlayst. It took me alot of miles to get mine running right. Its flat out rips corner to corner. 600 trail ripper. Really fun sled and the catalyst begs...
100% agree Rich on the moveable sheave adjuster. Smooth as butter engagement! Problem is on the catalyst not enough room between clutch cover and side panel for a adjuster. I bought my cover from Precision awhile ago. Like 2023 some point
I bought my Lewis cover from them. I did get a email saying the bushing could fall out? I did not send it back to them. I never had a issue in 1800 miles with mine. I put a few drops of weeping green locker into back side of bushing. Send it!
My experience with crank sensor going out was, I noticed it started kind of funny like. Almost like a cough on start up. Only did it once and then I was back at cabin> Next morning nothing it would crank but no codes no run just cranked over. After reading this post, going with water in fuel. Or...
Plenty of 24,25 sidewinder that are cheap! If I was going to buy it would be a leftover 24 as they are going cheap. Don't have to worry about potentially buying someone's problem sled. Some of these used sleds were tuned and ran hard without proper maintenance and or components for the power...
It can be done as I understand it. BUT that would be done by someone with electrical knowledge. That's not me so much beyond basics. The price is way more now then when I did it. We did the whole works. With the miles on the sled of nov7829 I think its a no brainer just to do both.
Here is some reading for you.

Also if its the crank sensor you will not get it running at all. If its truly a failure(ohms test) will tell you. Don't need to be running. Its been awhile since I changed it but pretty certain you can...
;)!
That would be better then CF Moto IMO. Unfortunately this sport is dying & I think Cat may go down for good this time around. Not want I want to see but
Should be fine on the lake. Tuesday could be a decent snow also. I left Sunday mid morning and it was snowing pretty good. hearing things got UGLY warm since. So not sure about trails up that way. Best would be to check the club post on spacebook, as they will be posting I would think. Lake...
When installing new slides TYPICALLY they will wear exactly the area OP mentioned. After this initial wear then usually stop wearing and will last a long time on good lube(snow). This skid has always been that way with slide wear. 450 and down to wear line sounds off as something is not right.
