    SRX or LTX LE

Picked this up from Pat's a few weeks ago. Only 700 miles on it with another year of warranty left. Had them add another 48 studs and ordered some new Triple Downs from Snow Studs. Back in business!

They sent it to Copart for auction, should be available online I would think.

    SRX or LTX LE

Yes sir, that was me... thanks for your help in the recovery! The recovery driver went straight into Minocqua Yamaha after dropping off my sled and ordered a set of tracks for his ATV, sounds like he's had that issue before. Unfortunately the bulk head was bashed in pretty good on the front...

    SRX or LTX LE

So... literally ran into trouble on my recent trip to the northwoods, resulting in a totaled 2018 RTX LE, may she rest in peace. Icy corners and my own inattentiveness got the better of me. Broke my heart, I put tons off work into that sled and had it running perfectly. Fortunately no injuries...

    Lets see those sidewinders!!

Here is the only glamour shot I have so far. Love the 50th Anniversary colors.

    "New" sled, first Sidewinder

I was looking at the belt guard, I just got their Drive Shaft saver and could install that at the same time. I have yet to blow a belt but have only put on around 500 miles so far. Is the belly pan saver difficult to install? I remember reading within the RockerDan build thread that there are a...

Agreed, this site brings a wealth of knowledge I could not have hoped to obtain on my own!

    "New" sled, first Sidewinder

That was my initial thought as well, scared to death that I bought a lemon and had to immediately replace 75% of the components to avoid a catastrophe! I appreciate you sharing your experience, I have since taken two trips Up Nort and have had zero issues with the sled. So far I like the C&A's...

    "New" sled, first Sidewinder

I'm developing quite the shopping cart at BOP! Will have to spread some of these out I think haha!

    "New" sled, first Sidewinder

Yep, definitely want to open up the chain case myself and get comfortable with it. I've had a number of them apart before, just not one on a Sidewinder. I appreciate the insights though, good to know what others have dealt with on these sleds!

    "New" sled, first Sidewinder

It's like WebMD or googling your symptoms, five minutes of reading through the master list of problems and I'm convinced my sled has cancer haha!

    "New" sled, first Sidewinder

Yep, I'm sure the bushing and forks are fine, just thinking it may be better to swap them out with a more sturdy replacement so I don't have to worry about it again for a while. Good excuse to weld up the chain case roller screws while I'm in there!

    "New" sled, first Sidewinder

I appreciate your help, from what I've heard regular maintenance on the chain case goes a long ways in keeping things moving. My thought was to wait until the off season and replace the top gear with the DMC version along with their shifting fork pads just to be safe. One less thing to worry...

    "New" sled, first Sidewinder

Agreed, I always try to be proactive with my off season maintenance so we'll see how much I procrastinate this year haha! When you say headaches, do you know specifically what may be an issue? I had your concerns as well when I initially purchased the sled and almost bought a new set of Stryke...
