    I finally got a chance to work on the sled, and found 2/3 pilots plugged solid again. Gave the carbs a clean, and it started right up and idles great at 1400 rpm. Thanks for the suggestions guys - if it wasn't for this forum I'd have the cam tensioner torn back out!

    I have not - that's a great suggestion. My brother in-law used to be a motorsports mechanic - I bet he has the tools to do that. Even if it's not the problem - it will only help...

    It does idle, but low and rough. Even at higher rpm it's rough. I think I'll start with carbs again, and if that does not work ill re check timing. The carbs were filthy,I wonder if by cleaning I dislodged some gunk that made it to the pilots after cleaning. I sure hope I don't have to tear it...

    Seat covers

    There is a company that sells custom covers on ebay for ~ 145.00. I think it's called Scott's sled shed. I just installed one with a grip top, and it fit well and looks good. You can get pretty much any color you want.
