3 gallons or less in your tank!!

I would do the return modification. It just so much sense to keep that banana reservoir full of fuel.

Lost power to gauges tail light and reverse

Ok found the problem. Instead of telling you what I did I will tell you what not to do!! If you ever have to disconnect the wire harness and or the visor cord that runs down to the plug cluster by the chain case/ reverse motor , which you have to do to service the chain case, and when you re zip...

Lost power to gauges tail light and reverse

I just had the same issue with mine yesterday. Any more input on this?

    Chain case adjustment .

So this what I did . Made a new bolt 1-1/4 “ longer than stock bolt. Original shows how much thread I had on adjuster . This is with the new chain on. Some of you may laugh but I didn’t want to rip the chain case apart because I was out of adjuster after a couple of rides. Snow is building up...

    Chain case adjustment .

I was considering doing that slideshowbob but my techy friend who has the same sled did that to his and didn’t like the results. Where we ride is mostly tight twisty bush trails and he felt he lost a lot of midrange acceleration so he switched back to the 21 tooth.

    Chain case adjustment .

As per slimjim2525 comment about the plastic skate compared to the steel roller, any one else have any thoughts on that! There is a piece of me that thinks he may be on to something.

    Chain case adjustment .

Although I have only owned the sled 3 years, I know the original owner very well as we ride together and he assures me no components were replaced in the chain case. He is just a trail cruiser mostly northern Quebec and not much of a throttle jockey. He Just did regular oil changes and...

    Chain case adjustment .

2017 Sidewinder. So I ordered , from Hurricane Performance ,a new 86 link chain for my stock 21/41 chain case as I only had 1 thread left on my adjuster. Installed it and I only gained 2 more threads on the adjuster??? WTF… Dave at Hurricane doesn’t know what the problem is. He just told me...

    22/41 gear ratio question

I’m going to ask the same question as Doc as I’m in the same predicament. When do you know your chain needs replacing if you put a 22 t on to replace the 21t. I’m almost out of adjustment on the bolt. I don’t mind replacing the chain but not looking forward to adjusting for chain stretch 2 or 3...

    Chain case adjustment .

I guess I will pay to continue to play.! And get a new DMC top gear while I’m at it.

    Chain case adjustment .

I'm at almost 20,000 km on my 2017. Original top gear as well!!! No play on shaft. Just out of thread on the adjuster. And yes I spot welded the 2 screws on the roller adjuster.

    Chain case adjustment .

Stupid question!!! What about putting in a longer adjustment bolt? It's only a 3/8 x 16 tpi bolt. Spending 375.00 cdn every 2-3000 kms for a new chain is pretty ridiculous. Or is the excess dog leg in the chain problematic.? Not trying to be cheap. Is the chain just stretched or is it worn and...

My RTX LE 50th BUILD THREAD-ROCKERDAN

Awesome job on the CAI project Dan!, makes a lot of sense. Do you have a part number for that K&N elbow.? I’m guessing that didn’t come with filter. Also is that just the stock rubber intake hose that you drilled the fitting into or is that another aftermarket part?

3 gallons or less in your tank!!

I found a cross reference one from Napa here in Canada. Get it in a few days, if its what I wanted and it fits ,I will post the part number. As a backup i have a buddy bringing a couple of the O reilly ones home from Florida when he is done snowbirding.

3 gallons or less in your tank!!

Yeah I’ve seen their filter kits but their pump sock still has the straight fitting on it meaning when you stuff it in the banana housing you need to kink it. The Oreilly one has a rigid 90 degree elbow on it so the filter is not kinked when in position. Maybe I’m over analyzing this….. but I’m...
