I ride with a guy on a 180 hp Nytro (MCX) and I have a apex super at 10 PSI
The super is a beast with "power now" that makes it harder to handle than a turbo. I guess it would be easier with less boost.
The slight lag makes the turbo easier to handle, the engine comes in soft ( like the...
Call MPI or Tom
If I am not mistaken the colour of lights when running may not be the same as the colours when programming the fuel curve.
That should also be in the instructions.
I would add lots of fuel and then start to reduce it when it is overfueling.
I have a apex so the...
Did the re calibrate on the O2 and it was right on.
It also lean poped so it all makes sense from that point.
I guess Just wait and see for the next ride and pay att on hard pulls.
The 1.75 track with the set back works pretty good 144 works ok 151 would be better . Gear it down a bit pull rivets (on stock weights) so it is just of the rev limiter down low. That will get you in the ball park as you go higher. You should be able to just tighten up the secondary if you...
No big changes at all, I ride the same area lots and never have to adjust it there, is all between 3000 and 4500 feet and temps were within a few degrees all afternoon. Once in a while if the temp drops a lot on the way down the fuel numbers go up to 12.5 - 12.75 to one WOT from 12 to 1
The...
Where does your wast gate exhaust to?
If it goes right into the exhaust close to the turbine outlet you may have lots of back pressure that does not allow the system to work well.
That is why some systems have separated the waste gate exhaust from the main exhaust . You will also hear of...
I had my Apex stage 1 High boost setting lean out for no reason, burned 1/2 a tank of gas and was right on 12 to 1 wide open . Then all of a sudden it jumped to 13.5 to 13 .8 to one and even gave a lean pop.
Had to bump up bumped up altitude and started to bog.
Reset altitude back and...
Sounds like your altitude setting.
Had the same thing on mine, had to keep turning down the altitude setting to
get rid of that stumble. Accelerator pump no more than 2
If you want to save money go get the yamaha ski bottom for the work sled.
It is 7" wide and will fit your ski loops carbides and ski rubbers .
You just need to the bolt and spacers.
They float way better than the MTX skis do not darting crusty snow and have
a nice deep keel for good...
Just installed the new 8 inch powder hounds.
They are a huge improvement over the old 7 inch ski ------
(they actually turn on a trail) and float the old Apex quite well.
They are 12 pounds lighter than my Gen 2s and close in flotation and turning.
Probably the best all around ski...
Less drag less weight and the best it carves easier.
You can also run 3 wheels inside the rails looks like a 2 wheel kit but has the
3rd wheel if you blow one out you can still run it home on 2 .
That is what I recoment for guys doing long distance stuff.
1/2 hour on a lathe all stock parts no problem .
Some guys run 8 inch wheels makes it more like a straight rail with no tip up.
Just remember if you run the stock skid the bigger wheels will rub hard inside the tunnel.
cheers........
