I ran the black tan on the weekend for the first time set at 50 with 37/33 helix. 100 miles and launched a belt. (admittedly a tired belt with probably 1000 miles on it). The secondary was quite hot. Wondered if i need to wrap it tighter (60) due to slipping with PEFI stage 3. Not sure what...
I've had better luck with offset closer to 58mm. But if you take the time to mach it up like Knapp said, that's the ideal method. Let us know what you find with your inspection.
Maybe a dumb question, but since this thread has morphed into an "anything goes" topic, is there a way to data log these sleds with anything other than the gap flasher using TD/Hurricane/Turbor tunes? Say if a fella has PEFI tunes and wants to data log...
Has anyone found a more robust clamp alternative to the stock clamp on the intake boots? See fiche below - #41 that clamps the boot to the throttle body. Needs to be narrow enough to fit in the formed channel on the boot.
