Sadly I think it was a write-off loss play for Textron and it will be now be sold off in pieces. Manufacturing facilities, maybe the patents on their front suspension so Doo can copy it, probably a bunch of other things. Sum of the pieces is worth more than the whole.

My guess is that AC will sold off in pieces. Maybe the contract with Basspro bought as one piece by say Polaris, or CFMOTO etc. The facilities to another company, tooling and IP of the kids sled they make for BRP to BRP. In the end it's my guess it will be parted out as the pieces are worth...

If it happens it is sort of like when IH made the Scout. I would have to assume it was the same argument. Get their regular customer base a reason to visit the dealer.

Had that problem on 06 Attak. Turned out to be a ground wire. Same thing new relay did not kick pump on, guages moved etc.

True but if I am Polaris with this news I am quickly trying to capture some of that market. Ski doo has all the sales they need, I would make the decision to support CAT and try and keep 3 alive. If down to two they will collude and we will all be less happy.

Some of your are lucky. I got a solid 140 miles in this year. Worst ever. We get one week in the UP and we can't change it as one friend has bid a year in advance for his time off. We got one day in. Then it rained for a day and half, then it froze to glare ice. Went home early. Next year...

I still keep my Procross but also have a 900T. The throttle is made to be flipped for finger control. I actually find it awkward now to use my thumb on any sled., Just turned 50 and have to concede that PS is becoming important. I hope other manufacturers come out with PS so I have choices.

Each manufacturer takes brand recognition and loyalty as mission critical. I don't see Cat worried about Cabela's stealing their brand recognition like they would with Yamaha. The problem for Yamaha is that without their quality reputation of their made in Japan units it opens doors for...

But does Textron think they need Yamaha? Cat (prior to Textron) sure did need Yamaha. Now cat has their own CTec's that are decent (not great) and I have to believe they have a 4stroke being built to do double duty in the ATV and Sled divisions. Anyway, just my opinion but I don't see Textron...

Personal opinion is Textron wants Yamaha gone as fast as possible. Yamaha sells sleds just to support their ATV dealers in the winter months. If Textron can force Yamaha out completely they can gain a little sled market share but also most likely get a bigger piece of the market they really...
