need to machine the secondary there's no way around it..mine was 61mm after a blown belt and stub moved in .040 or 1mm which is as far as it will move in after hitting the crank..milled 2mm off secondary and fixed belt problems

when the stub shaft bearing is all the way out and the stub shaft itself is all the way into bearing there is approx 1.5mm distance from stub shaft to crankshaft..this takes you over the 61.1mm offset when a belt blows and moves the stub in.

are certain helixes better for trail riding vs mountain riding or for short lug heights vs 2.25" tracks or once you have clutching setup it's good for both?

well said beerman..it's really sad a big company won't step up and cover most of these issues..the helix in the upgrade kits is just a money grab and while it might work for the 1" track on srx there's no way it's going to work or the big lug guys or tuned sleds been tested and proven.

so is the axle made wrong or is there that much variances between bearings?

stub shafts can move in up to 1.5mm then the shoulder of the stub shaft stops against inner bearing..with stub all the way out can only get down to 60mm offset on most of the sleds I've looked at.

pretty much every clamp is loose on turbo intercooler and throttle bodies..stock hp sleds might not see as much leaks as the higher hp ones..also saw small boost lines backwards and the pinch clamps on them leaking

I totally agree with you that this should be fixed under warranty but for the time it takes to load a sled up and take to dealer then try to explain what's going on. then you get the deer in headlights look and we'll it's within specs..much easier to spend $20 get it machined and have pleasure...

yes I've been finding leaks on the couple sleds I've looked at both cat and yammy

x3 on the barn of parts throttle heats up nice and hot and they were great to deal with
