This track is new and only used about 1 season. I'm not sure what would have caused this to happen. There is only 1 wheel that touches it and that is in good condition.
Is there anyway to repair this?
That bearing nut is for the jack shaft. I checked and mine is tight. Going to order a new drive shaft bearing and set screw and see what happens with that.
I'm VERY familar with the annoying transfer rod cluck and I've fix that. Not the problem.
I'm ordering a new bearing with a new set screw. I'll try that and the belt and see what happens.
I'd love for it to be the belt but I don't think it is. That being said, I'm going to give it a try because I have a new belt and I've heard that you are supposed to break them in before use. Good reason to throw it on a guess. The other reason I don't think it's the belt, the last time it...
I know, I should try the other belt but if it was the belt wouldn't it do it continuously?
The track only has 500 miles and no studs. I did inspect the track and tunnel incase a stick got lodged in there. Everything looked good. I did discover that the drive shaft (track shaft) bearing was...
I checked the belt this AM hoping for a simple fix. I don't see any issue with it. It does not appear to be delaminating and I don't see any burn or thin spots. I could try another belt but it does this very infrequent so it would be hard to know if this fixed it. Only 500 miles on this belt.
I thought about that but just put in on last year. However, it was probably the original replacement that came with the sled. It might have dry rot. I had it off the other day and it appeared okay but I'll take a closer look.
I've been hearing this thump, thump, thump noise when the sled is moving. Doesn't do it when just ideling. It only makes this noise occasionaly and usually when going slow. It sounds like it's coming from under the hood as opposed to the track but hard to say which side. I would think it's...
Ok. I bumped the fitting and it fell out. It had threads but they were stripped. The original fitting must have fell out and the previous owner must have tried to screw one in and it didn't stay in place. I didn't want to use the wrong fitting and ruin the threads but it sounds like it's welded...
I lost one of the grease fittings on the track. Does anyone know what the thread size is so I can find a replacement. I have attached a picture of the fitting that is missing. Apparently you can't buy it.
I have read the FAQs about adjusting the rear suspension. I have set the spring sag for my weight, spring compresses 45mm when I'm sitting on it. I also have the dampening on the shock turned up almost all the way. 3 clicks from full hard.
Generally it rides well but when hitting dips in the...
I need to get a travel bag for my Attak. I'm going on a week trip to Maine and will be ridding from place to place.
Which of these two bags holds more stuff? Can anyone recommend one over the other or recommend something different...
