I did put the yamaha mountain skis on my attak before my track change and it didn't help trenching at all. If anything it floated the front end and made trenching worse. I couldn't believe the difference going to a paddle track as small as 1.5" made. As far as the attak floating, I have to...
I put a 1.5" freeride trak on my attak with no other adjustments. Now I have no problem in the powder. I keep up fine with my buddies on there mountain machines in deep powder no problems now. Attaks don't suck in the powder just needs a paddle track as apposed to the ripsaw finger track.
I can't stand the look of big mirrors on the side of my machine so I put some adjustable spot mirrors on the sides of my instrument pod. Can't see a lot of definition, but I can make out headlights which is good enough for me.
I put a 1.5" freestyle track on my 07 attak. Not much change on the trail, huge improvement in the powder. Rode 3-5 feet of powder all day boondocking and some small hills with no issues.
I imagine the 1.5" Ripsaw will give similar results as the freestyle only slightly better trail...
