It's the ability of the Rhino to broadcast its location to other Rhino users that make it desirable. We like to travel long distances. Not having to stop every 15 minutes to do a head count speeds things up. Groups of 8-10 can get spread apart across quite a distance. I agree if others in...
I'm not sure. I tried to find the answer at Industry Canada's web page but couldn't find anything. Curios though that we can by a 5Watt Cobra hand held at Future Shop.
We run two Rhino's in the group. One is on the sled that does the leading and mine. I bring up the rear (most dependable sled at the back right !! ). Initially we were of the understanding that with constant power the back light could be left on and the radios would automatically broadcast...
Has anyone figured out how to get DC power to the Rhino when in a mount? I just bought the 520 Hcx, rammount, and Dc power cord. The mounts surround the battery pack so the charging clip that attaches to the lithium battery cannot be connected.
To get the use of the GPS at night it needs...
Nice setup. Since I have the Attak the mounts could go on the tunnel extension instead of all the way back to the bar. I will be doing that mod next week. Its -28c right now, way to cold to work on the sled.
What do you use for securing the carabiners to the rear bar? I cannot quite make it out in the pictures. I have Coldwave saddlebags and the exhaust melted the staps securing them to the rear bar. Your method doesn't look like it will go up in flames.
I bought my sled used with 2633 kms. It came with the Big Boy Spring. I sent the shock in with 8100 kms just before Christmas. There is no comparison even from when I bought the sled to having the shock revalved. From what I understand the shock comes calibrated for 180 lb person...I am 220...
I just got my Mono Shock back from ShockTec and installed it last night.
They did a rebuild and revalve. I already had the big-boy spring on the second clip. Went out for a 175km test run today and all I can say is WOW. What a difference, I only had to stand up once. It is amazing how much...
Mine failed at 7700 km. No backfiring, but the sound of the exhaust changed quite a bit. This was something I was paying attention to from other posts and caught the failure before the Y-pipes were affected. To bad I never noticed the post on the jack-shaft bearing.
