Congrats on the purchase - you'll love the sled!! I just purchased and applied graphics from ArticFx since I wasn't crazy about the stock graphics. They came out really well - they have really good application instructions on their website and Jordan gave me some good tips as well. I didn't...
I just finished applying this new graphics package from ArticFx. Thanks to Jordan for the color suggestions and tips. I am very happy with the results!
I was going through my RTX the other day and noticed that the drive belt is sitting nearly 1/8" below the top of the secondary clutch. I believe spec states that it should sit just above the top of the clutch.
The sled is an '07 and only has about 600 miles on it. Has anyone else noticed...
I was able to resolve my TORS issue this past weekend. Again, I have a two inch riser and my TORS would kick in whenever I turned all the way to the left. I repositioned my throttle cable. In stock form it runs above the handlebars and into the throttle assemble on the handlebar. I...
The specs I've seen on the Nitro rate it at about 138 hp which isn't too much less than the APEX. I love my APEX but agree that the Nitro is probably a better big bump (Tug Hill) type sled. The rider position on the Nitro will make a big difference. It's more like the REV which was my last...
I actually have an '07 so I haven't had much issues with the warmers. I thought I would try the insulation just because I figured I had nothing to lose.
I live in Lancaster. I ride here (usually out of Holland), Tug Hill every so often, and usually a trip up to North Bay. I'd love to...
I apologize if what I am going to mention has already been stated in this post. I was discussing hand warmer issues with a fellow APEX rider today. He actually sprayed insulation inside his handlebars with the hope that they would hold heat better. He rode all last season with this setup and...
I talked with my dealer today. He rides an APEX as well. He suggested rerouting the throttle cable under the handlebars instead of over the top of the handlebars which is how the sled comes stock. It basically entails disconnecting it from the throttle assembly and then running it under the...
I was able to ride mine all last season with the two inch riser and no cable extension. My TORS would only activate if I turned my bars ALL THE WAY to the left. If I knew I had to make a sharp turnaround I would just try and make it by turning to the right (this was my "workaround"). You will...
Nice idea moving the throttle assembly! I'm going to give that a try and see if it helps. I'd obviously rather do that than put on a cable extension.
Thanks!!
I'm having a similar issue as you are except my TORS only kicks in when I turn all the way to the left. It is putting too much stretch on the throttle cable. I only put on a two inch riser. I will probably be adding a throttle cable extension before winter. Have never done one before so I'm...
I'm running Ski-Doo pilots on my '07 RTX and love 'em... I kept the stock 4" carbide on the outside and just put a longer carbide in the center. This cuts down on some of the cost and you still get great performance.
