After a bit of debating I finally decided on what setup of gas can/storage bag to go with. The Yamaha seat pack has surprisingly a nice bit of room and mounts very well. The pouch on the back of the pack is perfect for the pan of my shovel and the handle "just" jams under the handle of the gas...

Do these guards actually do anything or is it generally for looks. Just wondering if it's a common concern for damaging the shafts of the floats.

Was on the west coast a couple weeks ago. Was ok for a ride then but they have lots since then. Supposed to be really good going up in the hills now!! Taylors brook/ gorge area.
