The Nytro is a great sled; tons of tourqe, and it can handle the bumps very well. It is, however, a cold sled to ride. I've gone up one size with the windshield, and it's better, but my 2000 ZR 600 was WAY warmer. I feel that the seating position is to blame for this, but I wouldn't change it as...
I really hope that this sled comes to fruition. It would be great if they had a "spring order" edition in Team Yamaha graphics with some extra goodies like track choice and shock selection. Am I dreaming? Anybody else looking for something like this? Yamaha....are you reading/listening?
BTW...
Thanks for the tips, Swiss. I've already read all those posts/threads (before I started my own), and I was hoping that some of the guys who posted in them but didn't have any direct comparisons (some posted in July) had ridden some miles now, and could expand on their info. As far as Bounty and...
I'm looking to hear from guys who have switched to C&A Pro Razors or Outlaws AFTER they put some miles on the stock skis. How do they compare? Are they worth the $$? My Nytro pushes big time, so I'm trying transfer rod adjustment as well as limiter strap changes, but I don't want to dump money...
I'm not 100% sure, but I think they might have geared the RTX down for 07 so they could market it along the same lines as the Nytro. As you mentioned, they also switched to the Pro-Active CK for 07, which the Nytro ran in 06. Having never ridden a Mono sled, I can't give you a head to head...
The 06 Nytro does not have the anti-bottoming stoppers. I think this was covered in another thread, but it was in reference to the Nytro skid, and it was last spring.
Try gade-thrasher on this site. He has them available, and I think he has recent posts in the classified section with tunnel extensions and tunnel reinfrorcements as well.
Did you Phazer dudes check out the radar #'s from Rib Lake that are posted under General Yamaha Discussion? I've noticed alot of speculating over here, so these should help y'all out. Enjoy!
I kinda miss that smell.... 4 strokes don't exactly smell GOOD! Plus, you know it's winter when the smoke is blue! Oh well, enough reminiscing.....I'll take the reliability of a 4 stroke.
I guess my diagram got lost in the shuffle. Oh well, the grips are on, and they work great. I only brought this up to save someone some trouble down the line. I'm sure I'm not the only one with missing instructions/wiring diagram.
There were NO INSTRUCTIONS with my bars! Otherwise, this thread wouldn't have been started. Thanks for the tip, though! Also, according to the dealer, Nytro bars carry a different part number than the Apex bars, so he has a bunch of Apex guys waiting for back-ordered bars, but I got mine right...
I installed the update on my 06 Nytro today, and I came across something that could catch some of you (or maybe it was just me!). The new bars come with the warmers plugged into a pigtail which in turn plugs into the L/R handwarmer circuit. Thinking that this pigtail was redundant, I ditched it...
