MAKE IT A 250 CC sled!
We bought our kids 120cc sleds when we were buying 340cc and 440 cc sleds for ourselves.
We're riding 700cc, 800cc, and 1000cc sleds, I think a 120cc is just too small.
Make it a real basic phazer with a 250 cc 4-stroke single. ( Enticer? Bravo? )
The Yamaha 4-strokes are proven dependable and reliable. and they seem to get faster and faster.
What do you think the 2-stroke is going to do?
Ski-doo is running it so lean, they're worrying about overheating the crank bearings, so their solution is to liquid cool the crank cases.
It's...
I replaced my bars off my 2006 APex GT with the bars off a 2007 Apex GT. They appeared similar in shape, except the 2007 bars keep your hands warmer.
My son has a 2007 Apex RTX. The riser seems higher, but the bars are definately shaped different.
I had the left lower A-arm bend back where the spring on the shock rubbed against the upper A-arm. But I never hit anything! We noticed the spindle more upright than slanted back like the right one. The dealer inspected it and could not find any sign of any type of impact. Yamaha agreed to pay...
You're on a totally Yamaha website, which sled do you think we're going to recommend? :dunno:
I own an Apex GT and my son rides an Apex RTX. They just keep getting faster and faster. And they're reliable. Two strokes tend to go to crap after 3000 -5000 miles, requiring a rebuild before you...
and dont forget the headlight fluid!
You know, some body's wife or girlfriend who is trying to show an interest in her man's sport or hobby is going to accidentally read all of this stuff, and go out to the garage when he's cleaning or detailing his sled, and she's going to start asking...
I remember when I wired in the harness for the electric heat shield, I had the ignition unplugged, and I put everything back together, I turned on the key and got nothing! Back tracking, I found what I forgot to plug in. Then it fired right up!
There has to be a knowledgeable enthusiast who can expain in simple terms, what a SHORTER belt does to the primary or secondary, what a LONGER belt will do the them, what a WIDER belt will do, and what a NARROW belt will do.
The "narrow" belt being the most obvious that we all experience when...
I have an SRX-700 in my garage and it's a totally different ride when I purchased my Apex GT.
Once you dial in your front shocks and rear suspension, the Apex GT is fantastic.
Most 600 cc class sleds are putting out around 120 hp,
Most open class sleds ( 800-1000 cc ) are putting out around 150 hp.
Seems like that is what the public wants.
Do you really think they'll get into a hp war?
160 hp, 170 hp, 180 hp?
The average rider wont want to pay the insurance...
