New Viper in the line up

Leaking heat exchanger, plenty of threads related to it. Top gear bushing needs attention yearly. Keep an eye on that driveshaft. Enjoy!

    Leaking Heat Exchanger Help/Instructions

Received 3 kits yesterday, installed 2 of them today. First one took about 4 hours but we fumbled around with getting the spacer in. Second one took half the time. Great fit, nice and snug.

How exactly do you measure 1/8" toe out?

Frozentows that's exactly how we do it as well. One thing I do to get exact measurements is use a framing square, flat side down then butted up to straight bar and up against yard stick. Well done with the photos. We are also a 1/16 or so toe out on each ski.

Broken Chaincase Cover Bolt - Common?

We have broken many bolts over the years. I have often wondered about the use of Loctite in this application. When removing them for service one has to use some force to loosen, and I just wonder if the weakening of the bolt starts then. Now we go to torque one down at even 10 ft lbs and snap...

    Your Starting sequence

Prime, crank, start, release. Good battery and good fuel. There are 4 Vipers in our group, 2 14's and 2 16's with 3 of them having over 15,000 miles. We have not had the starting troubles as some have.

    Quiet Collar

It's mother nature's fault Tom. None of this would happen if we had snow to make everyone much happier.

Viper offset the same as sidewinder

It is the same offset, all 4 Vipers in my group have cut the secondary. Does it need to be done on a Viper? No, the Viper does not share the same belt blowing the sidewinder does. I will say this though with proper alignment not one belt has been blown and there is definitely less belt dust. We...

    Front shock spring

BOP kit will make a big difference in effort. Most of my group has his kit (5 total). We stay with the OEM steering rods with BOP plates attached to the spindles. Just can't utilize the third hole with OEM steering rods. With that said there's more to easier steering than just a mechanical...

    Leaking Heat Exchanger Help/Instructions

I believe it's all Viper MY sleds. So, I can say that we had a high-quality welder do some reinforcing on the new heat exchanger and he had this to say. The aluminum used is very low quality and it's machined welded from the supplier and not very good at that. He worked his magic and gave us...

    2020 SR Viper update ECU?

A member did an entire swap of a Nytro motor, ECU and complete wire harness conversion on a procross chassis. Do a search for that thread.

    Knockout kit

I do hope it works as intended. It would be a good option for sure for many. My Hurricane ring has been on my winder since the first year it was out. Zero issues just a very quiet clutch for at least 8,000 miles now. For me it's not something I want to add to the already long list of yearly...

    Knockout kit

I can't believe I read this entire thread....20 minutes of time I'll never get back. I'm with Bob on this, Apex clutch and Hurricane noise reduction ring. This combination is very quiet, and you don't have to worry about anything.
