Power steering makes a big difference. Whenever I switch between sleds I am always surprised at how easy/hard the steering is depending on which sled I'm coming off of or going on to.
My VK PRO ll does it too but I wouldn't say badly.
I see two possible sources for the warm moist air that causes the frost on our windshields. The first is the engine compartment which is amply vented, perhaps too amply. So keep the snow out to reduce steam. I block off the nose grill under...
I would place a small piece of lumber or a small log(about three inches) in front of the track and just pull up on to it. That should give you enough slack to work with. Don't over do it or else it will be hard to match the tension in the two straps. You won't be able to match them perfectly so...
I can't say about improvement with the turnout because I had it done from new. I clear it out in the morning and never do any ice clearing during the day. Lots of 50 to 75 miles day without enough ice to bother about.
I would say no but how would you know unless you ran with obvious build up, which I wouldn't/don't do. What do you consider to be early track failure? I have 16000kms on my MP which is way worse for icing than my VK(with exhaust turnout).
I can't be specific but I remember seeing reports of VKs in Nfld with 40 to 50000 kms on them. I don't know anything about what it took to keep them together but can only assume that what ever it was made economic sense.
One guys experience racking up miles isn't necessarily going to be the...
If you play your cards right FXR may allow you to participate in their "Helmet Exchange Program". If I worked for them I'd want your helmet and story for marketing.
Look north ... buy fur. Proper sized fur mitts are roomy. Trappers and dog mushers are always taking them on and off with ease. Usually worn with a thin liner glove. Currently the Yukon is paying the freight on local products shipped Outside as part of their Covid economic relief. Consider the...
This is from the worth a try department ... Absorbine JR. or some other version of horse linimint on the injured finger. And I wouldn't wear gloves, that damaged digit can snuggle with his buds in a mitt.
I have an MP which dumps in the tunnel and most guys find that to be a problem. It definitely is advisable to clean out the tunnel every morning by loosening things up with a rubber mallet and reversing to clear the debris. At least in my temperatures and snow conditions.
I have a VK PRO which...
When Yamaha says low is good up to 50 mph I take them at their word. If I have any kind of load on or am climbing low is good for me. Think about this,, all things being equal the clutches are going to compensate for the difference any way but if you need some jam you are already in low. My bet...
