pilots where new last year and verified clean. new fuel filters where installed by me last season. did have to fix where the throttle cable attaches as the last local guy they had try to fix it bent the bracket and it was rotating on the screw messing up the idle.

sled is 07 rs vector. this was my 2nd attempt at fixing the cold idle issue. sled will not idle on cold start up but idles fine once it is warmed all the way up. stalls out unless on the throttle once it comes off higher idle and choke does not help keep it running at all.

on my 05 rx war i had an ign switch go bad only in the start position. it broke internally and i carry it as a spare with the key now as i was able to repair it.
try jumping across the 2 large terminals on the solenoid. if it cranks, solenoid is bad. if it doesn't crank starter is bad. assuming battery is good of course.

you could always go venture lite or mp. you could also look for a sr venture dx sled as well as it looks like the 2 up seat is removeable for solo riding.
lol it is the only reason i have inventory to repair sleds instead of waiting on parts. just stole a shaft out of spare skid to get a sled back together as bearing race ate the shaft. did the same thing last year on 2 other sleds to get them going.
sry, anything i own that has e start gets oe starter unless there is a pull cord on it or says artic cat. they wanted $800.00 for oe one for an atv. aftermarket one was $90.00.
well with 36000 km on the 11 apex xtx, the old girl needs the spindle bushings done. noticed the steering arm starting to wear on the housing on the top side. decided to add a shim washer on the bottom to hold it down a bit further. using a 1.25" id s cam washer for a transport.
