I got myself a killer deal on a brand new power commander V PTI and a wideband 2 and the new on board pod 300 screen.
my question on it is everyone is mounting the MAP sensor from the powercommander in the intercooler/chargepipe. but then it wouldn't read vacuum. can the powercommander map...
got a couple more tubes built. First is a PTO side tube that will tie in the front engine mount
same thing for the MAG side
and a tube connecting those two that the mounts will be welded to
I also made this poor mans dust collector lol. I am surprised at how well it works to remove the...
Danne I only moved the bulkhead 2" forward from where it was on my Nytro. This should still leave me 3" forward to where the Nytro skis would of been. Why do you think moving the a arms/ski forward improves handling? Most of the time on a climb the skis are in the air anyway.
OTM sounds good...
Good info OTM, the turbo will be located right behind the engine. Debating on using a gt2860 or going down to a smaller gt25 series. I am not looking for huge power, id rather have the quick spool. Planning on running 5psi to start. should be ok on the stock engine I hope???? elevation is sea...
pipe bender is a JD2 model 3. its a awesome bender. OTM do you have a bender yourself? is DOM really that much cheaper than chromo? If you dont have access to a bender id be more than happy to bend your DOM in my bender and then ship them over to you. if you are going to be fabbing with a lot...
Thanks mike, all the 4130 came from aircraft spruce Canada they have the cheapest prices. What are a a arms for? A Nytro I assume? What diameter/thickness were you going to be using?
When my drivers are installed the tip of the anti ratchet is just even with the bottom of the frame tubes. So I...
Drivers and the jackshaft is fully mounted!! the chaincase and driveshafts sure feel like they added a lot of weight
I feel like this was one of the harder parts of the build, getting everything square to the chassis. now that I am this far into the build I see I could of designed the shape of...
did a little more work on the sled tonight. I got the back tube welded in place and got the chaincase mounted a little more. it is square within .5* as measured with my digital angle guage!! I am happy with how it turned out.
I still need to trim up the steel brackets and grind the slag off to...
I guess my width was off a bit and I originally planned to put the chaincase on the outside of the tubes. But I have to now move the chaincase to fit in the centreline of the tubes. The shitty part of this is that it moves the driveshaft up a 3/4". Do you think this will affect the approach...
I got the chaincase cut out a bit more and fitting in the engine frame. I think I am going to run a extra tube near the black line to make it more ridgid. The alum sheet is 1/8"
I am welding tabs around the tubes to mount the chaincase plate to. Going to secure it with 3/8" bolts.
got a little more done on the sled today. I picked up my inner chaincase and started cutting it out of the bulkhead.
still needs a lot more trimming but I think I am going to weld it to a flat alum plate and then mount that to the tubes.
jackshaft placement
alignment bar shows that I am...
A more detailed version is on snowest. I figured I may as well post on here as well.
Started out with some ideas in bend tech.
Tube showed up!!
most of the sled is 3/4" .035 wall. the upper pyramid is 1" .049 wall. chassis as calculated by bendtech is just under 30lbs.
First tubes...

Version two will be a tube chassis mounted to the pro rmk bulkhead. Planning on using the stock clutches and getting custom jackshaft and driveshaft from http://www.industrialjigandfixture.com/ and...
