Nothing is better at Polaris either. I ordered a new Polaris 650 for my wife in March. Nothing but emails saying delivery has been delayed again. Latest is March 31 delivery. No compensation or anything. All the manufacturers are going through the same BS .
Almost every muffler requires a tune especially the 3 inch sandale. Be careful. Stock lower hp tunes from Hurricane or TD 225-250 hp range are pretty flawless. Not much worry about problems. My Powertrail tune has been flawless for 3 years now.
Blevis, Bob at Edinburg asked me about your friends sled. I had a SD 26 a couple of years ago but it cleared immediately. Turned out to be either the sensor or switch. Not sure because he replaced both. This was when my sled was stock. I have a TD tune and no problems. I flipped mine on its side...
These results are exactly what we found on our lake in a mile run dusted ice. Mac Z was 107. Thunder cat 113. Thundercat was way ahead at the end of a mile. Probably a couple of busses. Garmin handheld. SRX is quite a bit faster I would assume.
More screwing around on the lake today. Same results for Mach Z. He was running @ 7900 he said. Either the chassis robs power compared to the T cat ‘s
or it is down in power. Wish we has a stock SRX around to see how much faster the SRX was compared to the T cat . Taller gears and a 1 inch track...
My friend with the T cat said he saw 116 on his speedo. Only 170 miles on his sled. These were near perfect conditions with a slight crosswind. I will see the Mach tomorrow and ask him what rpm he was running. He was a little bent he couldn’t walk away from the Poo.
Finally our 31 mile lake is frozen. Very little snow on the lake and flat as a pancake . About 0f all day. Super hard ice. One of my friends bought his cousin up with a new Mach Z with about 300 miles of Tug Hill riding on it. My friend has a 2021 Maytrix 850 with a couple thousand miles on it...
Stock 17 weights loaded with 4.5 rivets. Primary spring is a Yamaha about 35/123 if I remember correctly. The stock weights are working well. The xs 825 belt is key to making this setup work.Trail manners are very good
I run it @ 50 with a 35/39 helix on my 250 Powertrail tune with the xs825 belt. Works great. No problems with heat or breakage. Great backshift on the trails also.
I read this on Doo talk. This guy was testing a Mach Z with the Hurricane 230 hp Ecu. Looks like they aren’t close to the SRX with similar power levels.
Barn of parts recommends drilling and using plastic pop rivets. He has them on his online store. Might be the easier way to go. My wife’s Poo Poo has loads of them and they hold up great.
