I can’t help but wonder how some of these dealers are staying a float. One of our large power sports dealers has 97 sleds, 99 motorcycles, 52 ATV’s, and 75 UTV’s, and not much appears to be moving. Yikes.
I live under a rock, so I am just seeing this.
Like many of you, I had seen Don’s builds on this site over the years. I always thought they were tasteful and perfectly executed.
A couple years ago, I was thinking of jumping ship because I had been on my SW for 5 seasons, and I wanted to try...
Several Doo dealers on the SD forum are reporting that spring orders were down 75-80% compared to last season.
There should be some great deals coming.
I switched to a 900R this season. There are things I like better on the Lynx, and things I liked better on my Sidewinder. One thing is clear though. The 900R engine does not hold a candle to my Tuned 998 engine.
The best performance analogy I can come up with is, the 998T is like having a 3/4...
It will be interesting to see what they come up with. Textron also use an N/A version of the 998 in the Wildcat XX. If the marriage with Yamaha is over, they will be looking for a power plant for that too.
I switched to a Lynx with the 900R this season. I didn’t switch because I was unhappy with my Sidewinder, I switched because I wanted a new sled, and I didn’t want to ride the same thing for another 7k miles.
Admittedly, I hate the way the G5 Ski-Doo’s look, and I had read numerous times that...
Congratulations on the new sled. I would imagine there will be more goodbyes with Yamaha exiting the business.
I switched to a Lynx this season. I like just about everything better on the sled, but I do miss the power and speed of my tuned Sidewinder.
Probably because BRP’s color and graphics department is the lamest in the industry. The trail sleds are the same color year after year, and the graphics are extremely basic. The G5 Doo is ugly as #*$&@ too.
9 years later, and the 2025 Yamaha’s will still be some of the sharpest sleds on snow.
