I have been building a few ROV kits equipped with the Arctic Cat magnetic tether switch for a couple of years now with excellent results! They work so well that I've decided to add them to the line up. Basically it's a $30 option to cover the cost difference of the mag tether switch and related...
As long as you use the complete front end including the shocks and spindles, yes it will. The shocks will be a different length (shorter) then your 38" front end shocks.
You may have to use the Alpha ski rubbers, bolts and spacers as I believe they are different as well.
The 2016 and up mountain...
Back in my grass drag days, I made a cooling cart using a ice chest, RV water pump (the type that supplies water to the sink etc) a car battery and quick connect fittings. I filled the ice chest with ice water and it worked really well.
For quick connects I just used the plastic type. During...
The 3" Power claw is an excellent mountain track. About the only thing better IMO would be a 3" Alpha Power Claw track, but that would obviously require a rear skid change!
The only draw back to the 3" PC is that they are spendy, ( for reference, I sold a used 153" 3" twin rail Power Claw in...
X2 with Mooseman said, op-lo is for low oil pressure.
If changing the oil and filter does not resolve the concern, then I would recommend installing a mechanical oil pressure gauge to see what the oil pressure actually is. Order to get an accurate oil pressure reading, you will need to get the...
Yeah, I guess you guys don't roll them over that often in the mid-west eh Tom! Out west we do it on purpose, it's actually easier to get them unstuck by rolling them over;-)
One sensor on a Viper is an oil pressure sensor, the other is an oil pressure switch. The oil pressure switch is a low oil pressure cut off switch that is suppose to shut down the engine when the oil pressure drops to a predetermined level. Not 100% sure but I believe that the low oil pressure...
With it idling, you may be able to hear or feel the exhaust leak under the tunnel and above the track. If it does sound louder in the tunnel, then the next step is to pull the seat and shield for inspection.
Some had headers that would crack. You may be able to hear/feel it with the rear of the sled suspended up and checking above the track . Otherwise the other way to check is to pull the seat and heat shield to inspect it.
If yours is cracked, I have a stock header that you can have for free if...
A buddy had a turbo Phazer built by Outlaw Motorsports, it ripped pretty good! Not sure if he still has it though, he pretty much got out of sledding for the time being due to a growing family.
Another option you could try, would be to get the 2.5 challenger extreme and cut the paddles down to 2.25". It's fairly easy to do using a straight edge and a razor knife. (be careful and cut away from your body though;-)
It kind of depends on what type of riding you mainly do. If mostly mountain/off-trail then I probably would go with another Power Claw as they are great tracks. Not 100% sure, but I think that you can even get a 2.6" Power Claw in a 141", (if you do a lot of mountain or deep snow riding).
If you...
Yeah, it looks like it probably has the air/oil tank drain relocation mod. Basically the air/oil separator drain is relocated from the oil tank to the engine mag cover. It's a good thing to have as it helps with oil control during deep powder carving. I have a pretty good pick of a MCX with the...
That's about where they engage from the factory (spec is 3800-4000). They came with a Black/Gold (75lb/275lb) spring if I remember correctly. Cat does offer a fair amount of spring choices for their clutches and if they don't have what your looking for there may be something available aftermarket.
Possibly a leak at the oil filter. They have been known to have the filter o-ring stick on the block and if you don't catch it and screw the new filter on, there will be two o-rings on it. Commonly called "double gasketing", if it goes undetected the o-ring can blow out and cause a major oil leak.
They are good sleds. Since it's a 2015 check to see if it's had the 2016 and up mountain front end conversion done. It's easy to tell by looking at the spindles, the 2016 and latter mountain spindle is much more narrow and sloped back for more positive caster. It's allows the sled to side hill...
Sounds like you may have a normally open tether switch which is used on the 2 stroke sleds. The correct one for a Sidewinder will be a normally closed unit.
