What I think is GREAT about CB performance is you can buy individual studs and not committed to 48 pack like others. Should add, that’s for Hornet studs. Not sure of others.
Have used these for over 6000 miles now and can’t say enough great things about them. Up here in the REAL Upstate NY (above Albany), we ride on everything you DONT want to have to ride on! Multiple road crossings, up to 3/4 mile on shoulder of road with no snow. Steel deck bridges, rocks, ledge...
This is why I like to have my sleds dynoed to make sure sled is making power the tuners claim. When motor is right, then you know it’s all about your clutching and gearing!!!! My $.02……
Yes, it was me who trimmed correctors to match profile of carbide. Can’t claim it was my idea but friend in Quebec who runs big miles every year. It makes all the difference in the world. Just like Knapp said, my friends was on cat skis, mine on curves. Semis didn’t do this but I wanted a little...
Finally, finally went to Canada yesterday and rode for just the day. Sled ran and handled amazingly! You’re right Mr. KnappAttack, these sleds are just a blast to ride! Don’t get rid of your 17! Lol
I have run curves since day one. I have discussed this situation with Knapp. Put semi-aggressives on curves and loved everything about them except slight push in corners. And when they wore I got more push in corners(makes sense). So after 2 yrs running semi’s, made the move to aggressives...
Great info between the two sleds. Thanks. Nice to know I really don’t need to trade up to a newer model. Besides, I have all the reliability issues fixed and my clutching seems pretty much dialed in but I’m always trying clutching stuff. Must be the old drag racer in me!!!
KnappAttack, I know you run the stock arms with your setup but it would be interesting to see you go to the bop bent arms to see how much easier it is to steer and then give impression on those also compared to new stock power steering sleds. Yes, I know turning radius is changed but still be...
Am I the only one who thinks this new sled is FUGLY? They go from best looking to ugly in one fell swoop! Yes, I am back after putting vette in storage for winter back to the Sidewinder forum from Corvette forum!
I agree 100% with LUG it to get good et’s but I had to be honest with myself years ago about what I do most, drag or trail ride. I trail ride more so always looking for the corner to corner stuff. That being said, I did purchase a 39/35 from Justinator to try! Lol…..guess I will be doing more...
I would like to know if a reverse angle helix helps with spooling turbo even quicker, why are they a bad thing with the quicker spooling tunes? I run one and everyone I let take sled for a ride says it’s the snappiest 4 stroke sled they have ever ridden. As close to a two stroke for throttle...
